GenPlay Games, Inc., a developer and publisher of multiplayer games for mobile phones, today announced the upcoming release of "Hide and Seek Live" - an innovative multiplayer game based on the classic childhood pastime.

Hide and Seek Live breaks new ground among phone-based games; GenPlay has created a new way of playing games on mobile phones by allowing the game to "live" within the cellular network instead of just on the phone. Players can create an ad hoc community of up to eight other people to play with anywhere in the world - so there is always someone to play with and the game is never the same twice.

With Hide and Seek Live, players can hide in places like a forest, jungle, cruise ship or a playground. Players can upload their photo to personalize their on-screen character, and the game can be paused so players can come back to it whenever it's convenient for them - even while the other players continue the game. Players can also chat with the other players and leave obstacles or messages for the seeker. Hide and Seek Live is a simple-to-play, casual game that lasts between 1-3 minutes per session, depending on how quickly participants hide and how good the seeker is. This game is designed not to create excessive drain on phone battery life.
